Access to the Tommy’s Pregnancy at Work scheme. Providing expertise to support you and your partner/ family on a range of pregnancy related matters.

Maternity or adoption leave of up to 52 weeks, with no minimum service requirement. In UK Insurance your first eight weeks’ leave is paid at basic pay (with no minimum service requirement). If you have more than two years service (at the qualifying week) the next eight weeks are paid at half your basic pay. These payments are inclusive of statutory maternity or adoption pay entitlement. You don’t need to repay this if you don’t return to Bupa.

A ‘welcome back’ bonus after returning from maternity or adoption leave. This is four weeks’ basic pay, with no minimum service requirement, which is repayable if you leave within 12 months.

Paternity leave of up to two weeks if you have 26 continuous weeks’ service ending with either the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth or the week in which you or your partner is notified by an adoption agency that you/ they have been matched with a child.

The option to take a total of up to 18 weeks’ unpaid parental leave, with a maximum of 4 weeks in a year, until your child reaches the age of 18 (once you have one year’s service).

The option to share up to 50 weeks’ shared parental leave in the first year after becoming a parent if you have 26 continuous weeks’ service (eligibility is also dependent on employment and earnings criteria relating to your partner).
