Donna

An expert in the Digital world (and at general juggling of life as a working parent) Donna is Lead Solutions Designer based in our Staines office.

When the job arose to join Bupa 4 years ago, it was perfect. Not just to work for a local company close to her home and family, but to also be part of a well-known employer and “move into an IT space where the topic (healthcare) is something we all are concerned about everyday”.

“Ever evolving, Bupa have numerous exciting projects” and in admiration of her working environment Donna told us “The digital industry is the place to be. There are many IT & digital tech advancements, and this brings opportunities.”

Always one to push outside her comfort zone, Donna took part in our Eco-Disruptive challenge, with the mission to form a minimal viable proposition for Bupa. This 6-month programme allowed her to work with other business units where the idea came to make a practical solution to upcycle and reuse clinical PPE.  The team won the UK competition and the product has been made, hopefully for use in our Cromwell Hospital soon – “It was brilliant to be a part of the program, meet people and refreshing to know that Bupa is invested in its sustainability goals”

As part of her local orchestra, Donna plays the violin and values the importance of working as a team. When discussing her Bupa colleagues, she shared “They are brilliant and very clever at what they do. My wider team and peers are extremely supportive, and we have a lot of fun.”
