Cromwell Hospital creates over thirty new jobs
with campus extension into Lexham Gardens.

We’re investing in our Kensington-based hospital by extending into the adjacent and connecting building, Lexham Gardens.

The site will provide an enhanced patient experience through comfortable and spacious outpatient facilities, and state-of-the-art radiology and therapies departments. As well as increasing outpatient capacity, it will also allow areas of the existing hospital campus to be refurbished to the highest standard.

The development will provide the hospital with more than 33,000 extra sq ft, allowing the hospital to offer world-class healthcare to more patients from London, the UK and overseas. The new building is an opportunity to reduce our carbon emissions by taking advantage of new technologies and improving efficiency, supporting our ambition to be net zero by 2040.

We caught up with Recovery Staff Nurse, Amy to tell us more about the expansion and how she makes health happen at Cromwell Hospital. 

“As part of Cromwell’s expansion, our theatre department is growing. This means a new, bigger recovery room as well as lots of new areas. I love the inclusivity of the hospital and the effort put into staff well-being and celebrating our differences.”

The holistic well-being of our patients is paramount. Amy has an invaluable role including monitoring patient vital signs, assessing pain, administering medications, and providing emotional support to patients and more.

Amy joined Cromwell Hospital twelve months ago based on its positive reputation for patients and employees. Having just finished her MSc in Healthcare Leadership, she is looking forward to the opportunities the expansion will create for her and others.
