Employee Spotlight:
Neil

After securing a role as a Member Service Advisor (MSA) in what was "supposed to be a stepping-stone job to help pay off the university bills", now as our Specialist Complaints Team Manager within UK Insurance, Neil celebrates 10 years of service at Bupa.

Much like his favourite Marvel movie 'Endgame' (although this could change after phase 4!), Neil is our very own Insurance superhero, overseeing complex complaints and anything high risk.

"I’m thankful to have stayed at Bupa and built loyalty within". Taking advantage of the many development opportunities, Bupa funded Neil’s part time mastered degree in Health Psychology and Apprenticeships in Management and Leadership at level 3 & 5, this all aided in his progression to his current role.

As a close department, Neil and his team are always there for each other. From checking in to chat about life, having a good laugh on group calls or staying later to support on difficult projects.

Neil told us how a team member of 10 years recently left, an emotional moment - "You spend most of your life with these people, so it’s nice to know are surround by good ones".

Over the years Neil has dealt with many cases.

Through the claims process Neil built a relationship with a costume and upon helping them, sent them a voucher to go out for a meal – “It’s not just about fixing the issues; it’s about going the extra mile and making life happier” - and we couldn’t agree more.

Hybrid working has allowed Neil to not only eat the ‘entire contents of his fridge at lunch time’ (Yum!), but without the commute to Bupa Place every day, he’s able to spend more time doing what he loves. This usually includes, spending time with his partner Keith, their dog Remo and heading to the Lakes, where they got engaged.
