Trainee Nursing Associate Programme

The Trainee Nursing Associate programme is a clinical career development programme aimed at healthcare assistants who want to take the next step in their careers. Check out some of the benefits below.

  • Nursing Associates are trained to a foundation degree level and work with people of all ages in various health and social care settings.

  • The Nursing Associate role bridges the gap between Healthcare Support Workers and Registered Nurses to deliver hands-on, person-centred care as part of the nursing team.

  • You earn as you learn through apprenticeship training, allowing you to put theory to practice and gain essential work experience in the field.

  • Having a qualified Nursing Associate allows nurses and cross-functional teams to focus on more complex clinical duties.

Riya joined Bupa as a Carer in 2018 and ever since has been putting her learning to the test. She has carried out placements in all nursing sectors, such as Midwifery, Care of Children & Young People, Acute Care and many more!

Through the support and abundance of opportunities available at Bupa, Riya is now a registrant with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and continues to thrive as a Nursing Associate in Dean Wood Care Home.

A typical day for Riya involves ‘’taking handover from the night nurse, administrating medication, updating care plans, and GP rounds’’.

It’s thanks to passionate people like Riya, who bring person-centred care to our residents and health to the forefront of everything they do, that we are able to make health happen every single day. The hard work of our people is the heartbeat of Bupa.

‘’I hope you join Bupa and make health happen’’ Riya, Nursing Associate.
