As a Placement Student, Will's growth and impact had been evident, contributing his expertise to the realm of cost control and financial reporting.

Will’s day-to-day entailed collaborating with various teams, ensuring accurate reporting during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes. His role spanned across different functions, including Property, Risk, and IT. Will's dedication to accurate reporting directly impacted Bupa's decision-making, translating into healthier business choices during his time with us.

"Bupa's reputation for caring about its customers, strong values, and endless opportunities to explore different finance areas convinced me. The support network, including a company buddy and team buddy, made my integration seamless."

When discussing accomplishments, he aligned his placement experience with his academic journey. "I've learned and developed skills that will be invaluable in my final year at university. Exposure to accounting principles has been enlightening, equipping me for future professional qualifications."

Will's advice for those considering a role like his at Bupa is, "Don't limit yourself to the familiar; explore opportunities outside the traditional finance firms. Bupa's diverse exposure helps build a strong foundation for my future career."

Beyond work, Will's passions include indulging in delicious food, spending time with his pet dog, and reminiscing about his favourite place, South Africa. He's an avid sports enthusiast, particularly following the Formular 1 and supporting Manchester United Football (making HQ, Bupa Place in Salford a prime location to catch the match!)

Will's journey at Bupa is a testament to the organization's commitment to nurturing and empowering young talents, setting them up for a promising future in the world of finance, one in which we hope to see him successful when he plans to apply for our Finance Graduate scheme.
