In September 2021 we welcomed our first cohort of IT Graduates into our Salford Quays and Staines office. We recently caught up with Gemma to find out more about what she’s been up to and how she’s settling in. 

I’m Gemma and I joined the IT Graduate Scheme here at Bupa in September 2021 based out of our office in Salford Quays. I’m currently on my first of a series of placements within our Digital Content team, looking at creating and updating content on our websites, as well as working on how we can improve the applications that help support it to provider a better user experience.

I am thoroughly enjoying my placement so far, and the support I’ve been given has allowed me to settle in and feel like a valued member of the team despite only being here a few months.

I'd recommend Bupa as a place to work as working for Bupa so far has been an amazing experience. I have already learned so much and gained some new skills, and Bupa is the perfect place to progress with your career as there are so many development opportunities. Another reason why I’d recommend Bupa as a place to work is the people. People are at the heart of the business and this is reflected in the fact that everyone is supportive and friendly, and you really feel the values that Bupa has reflected in the people that work for us.
