We have an exciting career opportunity for a Cardiac Science Associate to join Cardiac Services team at the Cromwell Hospital. We are working towards providing Cardiac Diagnostic Services from 8am to 8pm during business days, and the ideal candidate will be requirement to work through flexible work swifts, which may include a compressed work week of 4 days, should that be convenient to the department.
You'll help us make health happen by:
As a Cardiac Science Associate in the Cardiology department of Cromwell Hospital, you will perform and collaborate in a range of specialised diagnostic tests, including 12 lead ECG, exercise stress testing, ambulatory ECG and BP monitors. You will work alongside a team of Cardiac Physiologists and other professionals of importance in the safe and efficient operation of the department.
You'll assist the Head of Cardiac Diagnostics and Outpatients to provide and organise the day-to-day routine clinical operations of the department. This will include carrying out some administrative, environmental and housekeeping tasks as well as having professional responsibility and involvement in organisational and supervisory issues, as appropriate to the grade/level, in addition to the clinical duties detailed above.
The successful candidate is expected to relate with other cardiac physiology, medical, nursing, managerial, clerical and other staff working within and external to the Directorate, on the wards and in other hospital departments.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
BSc in science-related subject or Two A levels in science subjects ( essential)
SCST Certificate of Competency in Electrocardiography (desirable)
Evidence of highly developed written and oral communication skills in English in a variety of settings (essential)
Experience in ECG analysis (desirable)
Experience in applying ECG and BP monitors (desirable)
