Multi skilled Maintenance Worker

Location: Cromwell Hospital, Cromwell Rd, London SW5 0TU

Vacancy: Permanent position, 37.5 hours a week

Salary: Up to £45,000 a year

Role Overview

As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Worker, you will carry out repairs, minor planned installations and maintenance work on a wide range of Equipment, Services & Buildings.

You'll ensure all reports and documentation are completed in compliance with the Department's Workforce Planning Portfolios and Quality system.

Also, you'll comply with Safe Systems of work as operated by the Maintenance Department, together with Statutory Regulations such as Health & Safety, COSHH etc.

What you'll do:

  • Use relevant tools and test equipment.
  • Assist maintenance craftsmen and technicians as necessary.
  • Utilise Estates documentation to ensure effective and economic issue of spares/materials from Estates Stores.
  • You must ensure that all works you carry out comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all current legislation and/or guidance. All safety PPE equipment is available and must be used where required.

Qualifications & Experience required:

  • C&G Part 1/ NVQ 2 in a relevant subject or its equivalent.
  • Ability to use a range of Power tools and equipment.
  • Experience of building services/engineering environment.
  • Conversant with health and safety issues within a workshop environment
  • Trained in Maintenance Activities
