As a Bank Ophthalmic Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, assisting clinicians, and performing essential diagnostic tests that directly impact patient outcomes.
How you'll help us make health happen

· Performing routine ophthalmic diagnostic tests, such as:
o Visual acuity measurement
o Visual fields (Humphrey)
o OCT scans (Spectralis)
o Fundus photography (Clarus 500)
o Biometry (Lenstar)
o Pachymetry and tonometry (including Icare)
· Preparing clinical rooms and equipment, ensuring machines are clean, calibrated, and safe.
· Assisting consultants and nursing staff during clinics and minor procedures (e.g., IVI lists).
· Applying eye drops under PGD (where trained and competent).
· Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting infection prevention and control protocols.
This role offers hands-on experience in a modern ophthalmology service and is ideal for someone looking to expand their clinical skills in a flexible, bank-based position.
