We make health happen:

At Bupa, our purpose is to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives - and make a better world. As a Product Strategy Manager, you'll help shape the future of our UK Insurance product portfolio, ensuring our products and propositions remain customer‑centred, competitive and built to deliver fair value and good customer outcomes.

You'll work at the heart of Product, Proposition and Transformation, partnering with colleagues across pricing, clinical, governance, operations and distribution teams. Your focus will be on defining clear product strategies, translating insight into action, and helping Bupa respond confidently to a changing healthcare and insurance landscape.

How you'll help us make health happen:

  • Shape and deliver clear product and proposition strategies that meet customer needs and support Bupa's commercial goals.
  • Turn customer, market and competitor insight into practical recommendations that influence senior decision‑making.
  • Create compelling strategy papers and narratives to support product change, investment and prioritisation.
  • Work closely with pricing, clinical, governance and operational teams to ensure strategies are viable, compliant and deliver fair value.
  • Act as Product Lead on strategic initiatives, product improvements and regulatory projects.
  • Support broker tenders and new distribution opportunities with strong product insight and positioning.
  • Embed effective risk and incident thinking into strategy work, always focusing on good customer outcomes.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

Essential

  • Strong strategy experience - typically 3-5 years in strategy roles or environments where shaping direction and influencing decisions were core to the role.
  • Backgrounds such as consultancy, in‑house strategy teams or start‑ups are particularly attractive.
  • Comfortable tackling complex, ambiguous problems and turning them into clear recommendations.
  • Product experience is helpful but not essential.

What you'll bring

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong slide writing and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to turn complex or unclear information into concise, senior‑ready outputs.
  • Able to work at pace and adapt quickly as priorities change.
  • Resilient and persistent, seeing complex or long‑running work through to completion.
  • Confident operating independently - able to hit the ground running without close supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder‑management skills, with experience influencing senior and exec‑level audiences.
  • Clear thinking, sound judgement and a positive, adaptable mindset.
  • Line management experience is not required.

Benefits

Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people. Viva is our global wellbeing programme and includes all aspects of our health - from mental and physical, to financial, social and environmental wellbeing. We support flexible working and have a range of family friendly benefits.

  • 25 days holiday, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell
  • Bupa health insurance as a benefit in kind
  • Annual performance-based bonus
  • An enhanced pension plan and life insurance
  • Onsite gyms or local discounts where no onsite gym available
  • Various other benefits and online discounts
