Mental Health Clinical Lead -Young Person's Talking Therapies Team

Role Overview:

  • Location: Home-based (UK only) - Monthly travel to a Bupa site required at a minimum.

  • Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours) - Flexible options available (e.g. 30 hours over 4 days)

  • Salary: £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits

About the Role:
This is a pivotal leadership position within our newly established Young Persons Mental Health service. You'll help shape the future of the service, ensuring clinical excellence and outstanding care delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading clinical performance and oversight of Young Persons Mental Health practitioners

  • Collaborating with the Clinical Head of Mental Health on governance, quality, and education

  • Driving quality improvement initiatives

  • Delivering clinical sessions one day per week

  • Supporting clinician development and career pathways

  • Providing input to commercial teams

  • Acting as a trusted clinical voice and deputy to the Clinical Head of Mental Health

Essential Qualifications (one of the following):

  • Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (Doctorate level, BPS-accredited, HCPC registered)

  • Accredited CBT Psychotherapist (Postgraduate diploma, BABCP-accredited)

  • Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist (Level 4+ diploma, BACP-accredited)
    All with substantial experience in Young Persons services

Key Skills:

  • 1 year + Experience in CAMHS

  • Strong leadership in a mental health setting preferably in young persons mental health and stakeholder relationship management

  • Clinical quality and risk management expertise

  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills

  • Commercial awareness and adaptability

  • IT proficiency and a solution-focused mindset
