  • Carry out clinical audits, including medical record reviews, to assess quality of care and highlight where action is required.
  • Lead quality improvement visits with hospitals and consultants, providing clear recommendations and follow‑up actions.
  • Produce concise, evidence‑based reports that outline risks, findings and improvement plans.
  • Manage serious clinical complaints, ensuring customers receive clear communication and appropriate resolution.
  • Escalate safety‑critical issues through the right governance channels to protect patient wellbeing.
  • Support commissioning, provider performance discussions and the development of tools to assess outlier behaviour.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Being a registered, qualified clinician (RN, physio, or other allied health professional) is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of Bupa insurance and a strong understanding of governance expectations is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical standards, regulatory frameworks and professional requirements.
  • Experience developing, implementing or enforcing clinical quality standards in a healthcare environment.
  • Clinical audit experience with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Skilled at writing clear, evidence‑based reports for a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to influence, challenge and build trust at all levels.
  • Confident decision‑maker with strong clinical judgement and the ability to assess sensitive issues.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, with strong planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Empathetic particularly when handling complex or sensitive clinical matters.
  • Strong IT literacy and comfortable using clinical governance or audit tools.
