Process, Risk and Control Lead
Contract: Hybrid Working Options Available
Location: Bupa Place, Salford Quays
Fixed term contract: 12 months
Salary range: £38,800 - £45,000 doe dependant on experience

The purpose of this role is to coordinate key process and risk activities across the Control & Standards team and the Bupa insurance business, along with quality checking of the Key Control team and completing control testing. Reporting to Management and/or senior stakeholders to ensure proactive compliance with regulatory requirements and the risk management framework.
The Process, Risk and Control Lead will work with management to deliver executive reporting, drive continuous improvement, and ensure a high standard of record keeping, data quality and positive stakeholder management.

How you'll help us make health happen:
Strong experience with process mapping tools such as Visio & Mega, to assist with maintaining process maps across the insurance business as well as reporting regularly to ensure maps remain up to date.
Assist with maintaining the inventory of management committee Terms of References in collaboration with the committee secretaries.
Assist with annual committee effectiveness reviews and the delivery of the results.
Complete quarterly risk assessments in line with the risk management framework and team user access review.
Perform key control testing and Quality Assurance (QA) on key controls testing team.
Where required, draft key frameworks, policies, and procedures in conjunction with various senior stakeholders and ensure they are approved through governance.
Ensure team procedures are annually reviewed and approved.
Support the Head of Controls and Standards with adhoc management requests.
Feed into key risk and governance reporting (1st and 2nd Line).
Establish strong working relationships across all relevant functions including 2nd and 3rd Line teams.
Maintain high standards of record keeping and data quality at all times.
Adhere to team procedures.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Experience working in Process, Risk, Governance, or Internal Controls
Customer focused, understand and demonstrate an awareness of ‘Treating Customers Fairly' principles
Strong experience with process mapping tools such as Visio and / or Mega.
Ability to manage multiple activities efficiently
Strong business writing skills with the ability to articulate technical matters in simple language
The ability to move around our office locations nationally (London, Manchester, Brighton, Staines)
Demonstrate influencing skills, comfortable challenging senior stakeholders by providing constructive and evidenced based rationale
Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to present confidently to varied audiences.
Excellent attention to detail - the ability to document controls and actions in a concise and accurate manner
Solution focused and the ability to present solutions to problems
Able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Positive attitude and can remain calm under pressure
Able to learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment
Team player and able to work on own initiative, consulting with colleagues as and when required.
Manage their own day to day activities with minimal supervision, identifying when support or escalation is needed.
Demonstrate commitment, be flexible with time & approach, and manage conflicting priorities to achieve objectives and deadlines.
Experience at a regulated organisation and working within regulatory and operational rules and guidance.
