As Director of Product Discovery & Proposition Development, you'll be at the forefront of innovation at Bupa UKI. You'll lead the discovery and development of new healthcare products, using market insights and customer feedback to shape offerings that meet real needs. From horizon scanning and trend analysis to product roadmap design, you'll help us stay ahead of the curve and deliver fair value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product discovery and development, identifying new opportunities through market scanning and external trend analysis.
- Shape the product and proposition strategy, ensuring alignment with Bupa's commercial goals and customer needs.
- Drive innovation across strategic initiatives including Mental Health, Blua, Genomics, Later Life Living, and ConnectedCare.
- Collaborate across teams, including Pricing, Healthcare Strategy, and Customer Insights, to design profitable and customer-focused products.
- Develop product roadmaps, tailoring offerings to different customer segments and ensuring affordability and value.
- Monitor market impact, supporting marketing, sales, and broker engagement to position Bupa as a leader in health and dental.
- Track performance, using KPIs and customer data to measure success and guide future development.
- Ensure compliance and manage risk, working closely with governance and risk teams.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who's visionary, strategic, and passionate about creating products that make a difference. You'll need:
- Proven experience in product development and market analysis, ideally in healthcare or insurance.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- A deep understanding of customer insight, data analysis, and proposition design.
- Experience working across commercial, pricing, and strategy teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across functions.
- A data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous improvement.
