The Application Support Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 across the UK business. Key responsibilities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting software implementations, and ensuring the smooth operation of application solutions. The role involves close collaboration with business users, third-party vendors, and internal IT teams to deliver effective and timely support.
How you'll help us make health happen:
Serve as the technical authority within your domain (application or technology-specific).
Perform development, support, or environment configuration tasks as required.
Assess and validate technical solutions and designs to ensure end-to-end suitability.
Participate in implementation, change control, and release planning activities.
Adhere to application delivery standards, development methodologies, and architectural frameworks.
Contribute to strategic software architecture decisions and infrastructure design input.
Own and resolve IT issues within your domain that impact operational services or development.
Build strong relationships across IT teams and promote a customer-focused culture.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and address performance concerns.
Assist with onboarding new team members and knowledge sharing.
Respond to incidents and resolve service-impacting issues.
Be available for 24/7 on-call support for core applications, including incident and release management.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Track record supporting and administering Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, including:
Power Apps
Power Automate
Power Pages
Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure portal.
Microsoft certifications are advantageous, particularly:
Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (MB-910)
Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Knowledge of C# is beneficial.
Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.
Proven experience in a technical support environment.
Flexible and resilient under pressure.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working in matrix-managed teams, including contractors and vendors.
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
Familiarity with ITIL v3 or later, particularly Service Operations processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Event Management).
