We make health happen

At Bupa, our purpose is helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.

The Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Manager role supports that purpose by making sure our people have the right tools to support risk management across Bupa. When our risk and control information is clear, trusted and easy to use, leaders can make better decisions that result in better outcomes for our customers and colleagues.

In this role you'll join Group Risk in our Digital Solutions team. You'll help run and improve our global Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system (SAI360), which is used across Group Functions, Bupa UK and APAC. SAI360 is a high-profile platform with senior leadership and regulatory interest, so your work will have real visibility and impact.

You'll also help us to ensure risk reporting evolves to meet the demands of our businesses and explore how we can leverage new and emerging AI/LLM capabilities to drive better risk insight.

How you'll help us make health happen:

  • Work closely with our technology teams and external supplier to ensure our GRC tools are robustly managed and meet the needs of our people.

  • Be the main point of contact for GRC Leads across Group Functions, Bupa UK and APAC for day-to-day questions, support and system performance.

  • Plan and manage system changes, making sure deployments are controlled, tested and implemented in line with Bupa standards.

  • Coordinate planned downtime so it minimises disruption as far as possible.

  • Engage with our users to understand business needs and ensure that, together, our GRC tooling and risk management activity supports good risk outcomes.

  • Support the planning and deployment of new functionality, data/system integrations and module rollouts.

  • Create and improve training materials to ensure our business have everything they need to train their users and get the most out of our GRC tools.

  • Work with the Data & Analytics team to safely extract data for management information (MI) and reporting, and to build and maintain Power BI dashboards. including data modelling and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in a governance, risk and compliance (GRC) role, risk management, or managing a risk and controls platform.

  • Hands-on experience with SAI360 (preferred) or a similar GRC system.

  • Experience running a business-critical system day to day (incident management, availability, access management and release/change processes).

  • Strong stakeholder skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders and a wide range of global users.

  • Ability to prioritise competing work and keep people informed with clear updates.

  • Strong Power BI skills, including data modelling and DAX.

  • Understanding of data pipelines and ETL (extract, transform, load) processes, with a focus on secure data handling.

  • Ideally, experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar data engineering tools.

  • Relevant qualifications are welcome (for example IRM, PRM, FRM, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, or Power BI certification) but not essential if you have equivalent experience.
