We make health happen
At Bupa, our purpose is simple: we help people live longer, healthier, happier lives - and we work hard to make a better world too. With no shareholders, our customers are always at the heart of every decision we make. Everything we do is reinvested to provide better healthcare today, and for generations to come.
The Head of Healthcare Education plays a key part in this mission. You'll lead the creation of Bupa's first global Clinical School within Bupa Campus; helping us build future‑ready clinical capability across markets and strengthen our position as a global leader in healthcare expertise.
Your work will directly support clinicians worldwide by giving them access to high‑quality learning, research, and development opportunities. It's a chance to shape how education drives better care for millions of people.
How you'll help us make health happen
In this role you will:
Lead the vision, strategy, and development of Bupa's global Clinical Education agenda, making sure it aligns with our broader healthcare strategy.
Develop the Global Clinical School proposition within Bupa Campus, establishing it as a flagship capability for clinical excellence and talent development.
Launch and grow global learning initiatives - including conferences, leadership programmes, digital courses, webinars, and innovation‑focused learning experiences.
Encourage cross‑market collaboration by sharing educational tools, expertise, and learning pathways to strengthen clinical capability worldwide.
Make sure all educational content reflects international best practice, emerging evidence, and our strategic priorities.
Oversee digital, blended, and in‑person learning models to create engaging and scalable experiences.
Work closely with senior clinical leaders, Market Unit learning leads, and Bupa Campus teams to co‑design and embed the Clinical School model.
Partner with the Head of Learning & Curriculum to uphold Campus learning standards, evaluation frameworks, and digital delivery excellence.
Build strong relationships with academic institutions, research organisations, regulators, and professional bodies to enhance Bupa's reputation in global clinical training.
Establish and manage an International Research Hub that encourages collaboration and coordinates global research opportunities.
Put in place governance structures, quality assurance processes, accreditation pathways, and evaluation frameworks.
Manage resources, budgets, and reporting to deliver sustainable, impactful learning programmes.
What you'll bring
A postgraduate qualification in clinical education, healthcare leadership, public health or similar (e.g. PGCert/PGDip/MSc) or equivalent experience.
A recognised clinical degree (nursing, medicine or allied health) with strong clinical credibility.
Extensive experience leading clinical education at scale, ideally in a global or multi‑site healthcare environment.
Experience designing digital, blended, and in‑person learning using modern adult learning principles.
A strong understanding of competency frameworks, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
Experience establishing governance, accreditation, and quality assurance frameworks for learning.
A proven ability to build partnerships with academic, regulatory, and clinical organisations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing senior clinical and non‑clinical leaders.
A strategic mindset paired with a willingness to be hands‑on.
Comfort working in ambiguity and leading transformation in complex environments.
