Education plays a huge part in how we support our people and the care they provide, which is where the Healthcare Education Specialist role comes in.
This role sits at the heart of our ambition to strengthen clinical excellence and build future‑focused capability across our global markets. You'll play a key part in shaping high‑quality clinical learning that supports our clinicians, enhances our global clinical voice, and helps ensure we remain a trusted health and care partner.
If you're passionate about improving healthcare through clear, meaningful and engaging education, this could be the next step you've been looking for.
How you'll help us make health happen
As one of two Healthcare Education Specialists in the team, you'll:
Design, develop and deliver high-quality clinical education content across digital, blended and in-person formats, supporting the delivery of Bupa's global Clinical Education strategy.
Translate complex clinical evidence, research and strategic priorities into clear, engaging and accessible learning materials for diverse clinical and non-clinical audiences.
Build structured learning assets including courses, webinars, toolkits, case studies, faculty materials and assessment components, applying evidence-based adult learning principles.
Work closely with clinical subject matter experts and senior leaders to shape content into high-quality, globally relevant educational experiences.
Work in partnership with Campus Learning Product Managers and Instructional Designers to develop learning assets aligned to Campus standards.
Adapt learning materials for different professional groups and international markets, ensuring accessibility, inclusive design principles, and appropriate localisation and language adaptation.
Support the launch and operational delivery of flagship global clinical education initiatives, conferences and leadership programmes.
Contribute to curriculum development aligned to competency frameworks, international best practice and Bupa clinical priorities.
Support and develop quality assurance and CPD accreditation frameworks, medical-legal review processes and evaluation frameworks, ensuring educational rigour, regulatory compliance and measurable impact.
Analyse learner feedback and programme data to continuously refine and improve content and learning experiences.
Support the wider activities of the Group Clinical team by developing high-quality written clinical content (e.g. articles, briefings, thought leadership, summaries and educational materials) that strengthen Bupa's global clinical voice across internal and external channels.
What you'll bring
Clinical degree (e.g. medicine, nursing, allied health or equivalent healthcare qualification) with strong understanding of evidence-based clinical practice.
Formal training in medical or clinical education (e.g. PGCert/PGDip in Medical Education) or demonstrable experience in curriculum design and learning development.
Proven experience designing and developing high-quality clinical education content across digital, blended and/or in-person formats.
Strong grounding in adult learning principles and contemporary educational methodologies, with the ability to apply these in practice.
Demonstrated ability to interpret, synthesise and translate complex clinical evidence and research into clear, structured and engaging educational materials.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high-quality clinical content for diverse audiences, including consideration of international and multilingual contexts.
Experience working collaboratively with senior clinicians and subject matter experts to shape and refine learning content.
Confidence using digital learning platforms and content authoring tools, with the ability to build scalable, well-structured learning assets.
Understanding of competency frameworks, accreditation standards and quality assurance processes in clinical education.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience working within a complex, multi-site or international healthcare environment (desirable).
