Job Description:

Bupa M&A Project Manager Apprenticeship Programme

London

£28,000 per year + Fantastic Benefits

Full time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent, 3 office days, 2 remote days per week.

Start Date: May 2026

We're known as a leading healthcare group, but we're so much more than that. We have 50 million customers worldwide, with no shareholders, so we can reinvest profits into providing more and better healthcare for the benefit of current and future customers. We're focussed on our purpose - helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.

So, if you're looking to kick start your career and can bring us the skills we're looking for, then then we can help you build your career and you can help us make health happen. On our Bupa Project Manager Apprenticeship Programme within the Mergers and Acquisitions Team, you'll build your skills across a range of disciplines whilst studying for a Level 4 Project Manager apprenticeship.

In this role you will play a vital part in supporting the smooth execution of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnership projects within Bupa. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals, providing administrative and project management assistance to ensure the success of M&A initiatives.

You will gain a deep and valuable insight into the foundations of M&A processes, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration. Your contributions will support the team in delivering successful transactions that align with the organisation's strategic objectives whilst studying for your apprenticeship programme.

The apprenticeship is underpinned by a comprehensive learning and development programme. You'll develop essential skills such as self-awareness, effective working, communication and team working. And with support from your manager and our apprenticeship team, you'll be stretched to discover your potential.

What we're looking for

Do you want to make a difference to people's lives? Bupa does, and not only for its customers, but for all its employees and everyone across the globe. As a global healthcare company, everything we do is driven by our purpose. If you share our ambition and you're equally as passionate about people, our values and putting customers first, then Bupa is the perfect place to start your project management career.

As a project manager apprentice, you will be maintaining project documentation, tracking progress, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. You'll assist in organising meetings, managing data rooms, and contributing to reporting and analysis, gaining valuable exposure to the end-to-end M&A lifecycle. Working across a broad spectrum of stakeholders, you will build strong relationships and evidence your skills in collaborating and managing your workload.

Qualifications and Training

  • In order to be eligible for the apprenticeship candidates must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK (for example, as a UK or Irish citizen, someone with Indefinite Leave to Remain, or someone holding a Skilled Worker visa), and have lived in the UK (or UK/EEA) for the past three years, not mainly for the purpose of study.
  • In order to be eligible for the apprenticeship candidates must have GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).

Skills and Knowledge

  • Effective self-organisation, ability to manage workloads/projects and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, pro-active and take the initiative.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Team player, able to work collaboratively with others and influence.
  • Strong self-awareness with a drive and commitment to own development
  • Strong people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong decision-making skills, ensuring no actions compromise business operations.
  • Adept at exercising tact, judgment, and discretion in all aspects of the role.
