As a Solution Architect, you'll play a key role in bringing this to life. Working at the heart of our technology teams, you'll design and deliver scalable, secure, and modern solutions that support both our existing services and new digital experiences.
You'll take ownership of solutions end-to-end, helping to solve real business challenges while balancing innovation with the needs of a complex, evolving technology landscape. Working closely with business teams and wider technology leadership, you'll help unlock the value of our data, improve customer experiences, and support our growth across multiple markets.

How you'll help us make health happen:
Lead the design and integration of IT systems across new acquisitions and site builds
Support due diligence activities, including assessing risks, costs, and integration requirements
Create clear, practical integration designs across infrastructure, applications, networks, identity, and core business systems
Guide decisions on system migration, consolidation, replacement, or retention
Support data migration activities, including assessing data quality and risks
Develop integration roadmaps that align with wider business plans and dependencies
Produce clear, evidence-based recommendations to support technology and business decisions
Document key architectural decisions throughout integration and transition phases
Design integration approaches for clinical, operational, and corporate systems
Assess legacy systems, technical debt, and supplier constraints to inform decision-making
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and support high-quality healthcare delivery
Work closely with business and technology teams to deliver against strategic goals
Translate business needs into practical technology solutions and product backlogs
Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term strategy and simplification
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
Communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Engage with governance processes to ensure solutions meet standards and controls
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect, within an architecture role
Strong understanding of core IT infrastructure, including networks, telephony, and identity and access management
Working knowledge of healthcare systems (such as patient administration or imaging platforms) and experience integrating them with enterprise systems like HR and finance (highly desired)
Experience supporting system integration during acquisitions or new site builds
Ability to contribute to due diligence, Day 1 readiness planning, and post-acquisition roadmaps
Skilled in designing high-availability solutions, using recognised approaches such as UML or C4 modelling
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or GCP), including platform services and workload migration
Strong understanding of modern architecture practices, including APIs, microservices, cloud-native design, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
Ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that support business growth
Comfortable balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategy and simplification
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences
A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across teams and build strong relationships
