This role sits within our Financial Reporting Team (FRT) at Bupa Global and plays a key part in supporting our mission. As a Financial Reporting Systems Accountant, you'll help us make health happen by improving the systems that underpin our financial operations - ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in everything we do.

You'll be joining a team that's passionate about innovation and continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity to work with advanced tools like Blackline and Peoplesoft, and to contribute to the enhancement of our reconciliation processes.

How you'll help us make health happen

As Financial Reporting Systems Accountant, you'll:

  • Support the General Ledger team in embedding the Blackline reconciliation tool into daily processes

  • Assist with system changes in Peoplesoft and our insurance administration system

  • Create and maintain allocation rules (automated journals) within the general ledger

  • Ensure timely and accurate implementation of system changes

  • Help maximise the use of Blackline to improve efficiency and control

  • Work closely with internal teams to support financial reporting and reconciliation accuracy

Key skills/Qualifications needed for this role

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent), or be qualified by experience (please specify on your application)

  • Strong experience in process improvement and re-engineering

  • Hands-on experience with Blackline or similar reconciliation tools

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • A collaborative mindset and proven ability to work well in a team

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to process financial data quickly

  • Resilience and creativity when working to deadlines

  • A clear understanding of how your work impacts customer outcomes
