The Data Architect will be responsible for development and implementation of data architecture and governance frameworks and work closely with stakeholders to discover and model the organisation's information inventory with a focus on data availability, usability, consistency, integrity, and security.
How you'll help us make health happen:
You will develop data strategy, data roadmaps, data architecture principles, patterns, and standards, and agree and communicate.
Work alongside the data platform capability to ensure the successful delivery of data architecture.
Identify master data sources i.e. applications, key reference data, mapping data flows between applications, identifying data duplication / reusability opportunities, identifying data recency issues / data quality issues and the development of a data catalogue.
Develop Data Architecture collateral (data catalogue, data models etc..) to describe and communicate data architecture best practices, patterns and standards.
Work alongside solution architects on transformation projects to ensure technical solutions are supported by appropriate data architecture approaches.
Own the adoption and population of data modelling and cataloguing tools.
Manage risk and ensure compliance to protect Bupa, our people and our customers - Develop roadmap, policy, and procedures to ensure consistency in how data is sourced and used to ensure data quality and integrity:
Identify, map, document, and increase visibility of enterprise data for Reporting, Analytics and Data Science solutions using Bupa data architecture guidelines.
Work with business stakeholders to develop, implement, maintain and propagate Bupa-wide data management policies, standards and guidelines related to data assets.
Develop communication plans for data consumers so they are aware of data governance standards and available resources for accurate reporting of Bupa data.
Advocate data use and data protection practices for Data Governance in partnership with Bupa Privacy and Security Governance teams.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Strong Data Governance experience covering:
Data Quality, Reference Data, Master Data, Metadata, Practices,
Catalogue, Classification and Glossary development
Experience with Master Data Management, data modelling & data architecture
Experience with Cloud (GCP) based Data Platforms, Structured and Unstructured data.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification(s) or equivalent highly regarded.
Data Modelling:
- Dimensional
- Entity Relational
Strong focus on cloud first approaches
Strong communication and stakeholders' management skills
Agile/Lean/Flow approach
