As our new Director of Networks, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming our network infrastructure. You'll lead the shift from legacy systems to a modern, secure, and scalable cloud-first architecture. Key Responsibilities
• Lead the vision and strategy for Bupa's network domain, aligning with our digital transformation goals.
• Drive the transition to a product-led, customer-centric model using modern SASE-based architecture.
• Manage and mentor cross-functional product teams, including engineers, architects, and delivery leads.
• Collaborate across domains (Cloud, Security, Digital Workplace) to ensure seamless integration and shared goals.
• Champion innovation, staying ahead of trends in cloud networking, edge security, and network-as-a-service.
• Support business growth by developing scalable solutions for acquisitions and new site rollouts.
• Own the product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, embedding SRE, DevOps, and automation best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into product priorities using data and customer insights.
• Optimise commercial performance, managing cost-to-serve, vendor relationships, and sourcing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations, embedding Zero Trust principles.
What We're Looking For
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience leading large-scale network transformations, especially to cloud-based solutions.
• Strong understanding of zero-trust networking and platforms like Palo Alto Prisma.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform networking.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001.
• A data-driven mindset with a focus on user experience and operational excellence.
• Experience working in a product-centric model, embedding DevSecOps and SRE principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative, growth-oriented approach with a passion for innovation.
