Bupa has implemented a Global Planning and Reporting tool to strengthen the efficiency of the Financial Planning processes. The Global Planning solution is a strategic tool for Bupa (used by all the FP&A teams globally) and it is developed through the Oracle EPM Cloud. The tool will continue to evolve to support the automation and enhanced controls of our increasing Management Reporting and Planning needs.
You will be working for the Group Finance Systems team reporting to the Head of Management & ESG Reporting Applications. You will be operating and improving the tools while working closely together with our global users and guiding them to make best use of the tool's functionality.
This Global Planning tool is part of a wider landscape of Statutory, Regulatory, Management, ESG, Actuarial, Tax and Treasury applications that have many interdependencies. You will be ensuring that the Planning tool is fitting well within the wider systems landscape and the Bupa Finance Systems Strategy.
How you'll help us make health happen:
You will be utilising your finance process and application knowledge working closely with finance users to improve reporting practices and further systemise additional processes sitting outside the strategic reporting tool. Your role will involve Run and Change activities for our Global Planning tool and processes. Your main tasks will include:
Run
Lead our Global Support team to collect (or personally identify), assess and implement functionality improvements and configuration changes to our systems.
Collaborate with the Finance leads in the Group and Market Units, as well as the Finance Systems Team counterparts to ensure that the system effectively supports the planning and forecasting processes
Coordinate with our Technology teams to ensure that the end-to-end service is at the level required
Be responsible for the smooth operation of our planning and forecasting cycles, driving the support and issue resolution for our 525+ global users
Ensure we operate within the agreed Governance and Control framework
Change
Lead the translation of functional requirements to application design and configuration
Drive the delivery of new planning & reporting functionality and continuous enhancements for the existing ones
Work as part of the wider team including internal and potentially external resources. Your role will include oversight of requirement gathering, solution design and build, oversight of testing, delivering end-user training, all the way to transitioning the projects to BAU.
Partner with key roles to create well-defined solutions that are aligned to Bupa's Business and Finance Systems Strategy and leverage common solutions and services to meet key project goals
Be a leader in this area by implementing new and improved ways of working, delivery models and / or technological advancements
Contribute to the development of your own and the team's technical skills by establishing a culture of highest performing teams, inclusive behaviours, and emotional intelligence
Be responsible for the day-to-day collaboration with the Group Technology and Software Vendor to ensure appropriate support for the Group Finance
Keep yourself up to date with the Oracle EPM new functionalities and identify areas of improvements these can bring to the Bupa processes.
What you'll bring:
Solid technical and analytical skills, with good experience of finance processes. You need to be able to speak with finance teams and translate their requirements into system functionality
Expertise in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions (e.g. Oracle/ Hyperion/ SAP/ Anaplan/ Cognos) with proven experience of delivering and/or operating large scale global solutions
Ability to lead a team delivering tangible outcomes and assisting in the team's continued development
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across Group and Market Finance teams
Organised and methodical work approach, with ability to manage workload and projects
Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) as well as Oracle Groovy experience will be considered as a plus
Good understanding of data processing including data uploads, interfaces with other systems, data extraction and manipulation
