As The Head of Architecture Practice, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape, ensuring that our systems and processes are aligned with our strategic goals. This role is crucial in driving innovation and enhancing our services to provide exceptional experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Staffing and Management: work with product and platforms teams to provide architecture staffing, track supply vs demand, and manage expenditure.
Governance and Standards: Administer practice governance, develop forums, and ensure smooth processes and standards.
Professional Development: Steward the Architecture profession, develop coaching pathways, and manage tooling and artefact standards.
Quality and Accountability: Ensure quality and accountability for deliverables, serve as the contact for methods and standards, and drive the architecture community.
Strategic Alignment and Trends: Communicate practice direction, align with business strategy, analyse industry trends, and participate in governance forums.
What We're Looking For
Significant experience as an architecture practitioner, ideally in software and platform engineering, and working in regulated industries.
Experience in an equivalent practice management role within a global complex multi-P&L organization.
Extensive experience in software architecture, design, development, and engineering.
Excellent talent development and coaching skills, with evidence of having developed high-performing practitioners in architecture and design disciplines.
Experience working within matrix structures, with demonstrated ability to broker outcomes effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and peers.
Experience working with architecture design, modelling, and documentation toolsets, ideally Ardoq / Hopex.
Commercial experience managing budgets, planning, and optimization.
