This role is vital in minimizing uncertainties in achieving business objectives caused by clinical risks and incidents, thereby directly contributing to the safety and well-being of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, support, oversight, and challenge to business units regarding clinical risk and incident management.

  • Embed clinical risk and incident management requirements of the Enterprise Clinical Governance Policy and Clinical Risk Management Standard.

  • Develop a clinical risk strategy that aligns with the clinical risk profile

  • Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships

  • Liaise with the Group Clinical team - assess emerging clinical risks or opportunities.

  • Develop and deliver training, education, and awareness-building

  • Ensure accurate reporting and appropriate escalation of all clinical risks and incidents.

  • Line manage the Clinical Risk and Incident Manager

  • Attend and contribute to governance committee meetings

What We're Looking For

  • Significant clinical risk management experience and / or extensive clinical governance experience in complex environments.

  • Professional Clinical qualification (RN)

  • Experience working in large, complex, regulated healthcare businesses

  • Proven experience in developing and executing risk strategies that increase risk maturity

  • Healthcare regulatory knowledge

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrable stakeholder management skills
