This role sits within our BGIUK Technology team, which supports over 22 million customers across 190 countries. As Head of Technology Vendor Management, you'll lead a team that ensures our technology partnerships deliver outstanding value, performance, and innovation. You'll be at the heart of shaping how we work with over 400 vendors, helping us deliver smarter, more efficient services that support our purpose.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Technology Vendor Management, you'll:

  • Lead the development of sourcing strategies across BGIUK, including IT resellers, system integrators, and our own Centre for Digital Excellence.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with approved vendors and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams-Risk, Procurement, Legal, Finance-to ensure vendor compliance and performance.
  • Drive cost efficiency and financial oversight across technology spend.
  • Identify market trends and emerging technologies to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Provide senior stakeholders with regular vendor performance reports.
  • Act as a trusted adviser in vendor negotiations and strategic sourcing.
  • Review contracts and statements of work to ensure commercial alignment.
  • Develop standards to assess vendor performance and introduce supplier taxonomy for better analysis and decision-making.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven experience leading vendor transformation programmes, ideally in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • A deep understanding of product delivery models and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and communication skills.
  • Experience working across complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Confidence to hold senior stakeholders accountable and influence outcomes.
  • A data-driven mindset with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Ethical, honest behaviour that builds trust and compliance.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent business experience.
