As the Principal Architect for Health Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape, ensuring that our systems and processes are aligned with our strategic goals. This role is crucial in driving innovation and enhancing our services to provide exceptional experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the Technology Strategy for Bupa Global and UK Insurance businesses.
Maintain current, target state, and roadmaps for critical domains and assets, aligning across Business Units (BUs) and with the Market Unit (MU) strategy and architecture.
Align architecture roadmaps with business investment plans and initiatives.
Direct and coordinate work across the Health Insurance Architecture Team.
Serve as the single point of contact and escalation for architecture development across business units and with senior business and technology leadership.
Ensure quality and accountability for architecture deliverables.
Drive technical alignment across the Health Insurance design community, including Enterprise, Solution Architecture, and Engineering.
Analyse industry trends to leverage technology and methodology advances.
Communicate architecture direction and its alignment with business strategy and enterprise direction.
Track progress and quality of architecture initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Significant experience as an architecture practitioner in a regulated financial services industry, ideally insurance.
Experience in senior architectural leadership roles in a large global organization servicing multiple internal business lines.
Expertise in modernizing large, complex legacy core product systems and platforms.
Strong problem-solving, strategic, and creative thinking skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience with modern architectures, complex distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Proven track record of influencing, motivating, and developing technology and product teams.
Strong product design and development experience in an agile environment.
