Reporting to the Head of Non-Financial Reporting, Group Sustainable Finance, the Senior Finance Manager - Non-Financial Reporting will lead the consolidation of the Group's reporting and planning and forecasting processes of non-financial metrics underpinned by effective processes, and robust controls and governance frameworks to achieve Bupa's sustainability goals.

You will be a key business partner, working closely with Group Sustainability and other stakeholders across Bupa, to support in the delivery of Savannah27 and Better World priorities and associated measurement and reporting.

Additionally, you will support in the implementation of relevant Group sustainability regulatory reporting requirements, including Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and International Sustainability Standards Board.

How you'll help us make health happen:

  • Produce regular non-financial reporting for Bupa.

  • Contribute to the development of internal KPIs to monitor and evaluate Bupa's Environmental performance.

  • Produce relevant external disclosures and reporting for the annual report and accounts, AGM, and website content.

  • Support the Director in the delivery of inputs to Board Sustainability Committee and other Group Governance Committees (e.g. Group Board, Group Audit Committee, Board Sustainability Committee, and Sustainability Steerco);

  • Act as a change catalyst, working with the team and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in all aspects of non-financial reporting.

  • Working in collaboration with Sustainability, Legal, Risk and Finance to implement changes to external reporting requirements, and technical interpretation where applicable.

  • Produce executive management information to drive insight into performance to enable effective decision-making.

  • Be the day-to-day point of contact with the external assurance firm, ensuring the timely annual Global assurance process of key non-financial metrics.

  • Provide strong business partnering to Group Sustainability and other stakeholders.

  • Support in work to decarbonise our direct and indirect value chain via science-based targets, working in collaboration with Group teams, Market Units and Business Units.

  • Ensure the consolidation of the Group-wide planning and forecasting for non-financial metrics is underpinned with efficient and effective processes, to ensure sustainability is integrated into Bupa's wider reporting, planning and forecasting, and decision-making activities.

What you'll bring:

  • Finance qualification with strong post qualification experience (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Previous experience in managing a small team responsible for reporting and analysis processes, including experience of external assurance.

  • Deep knowledge of sustainability reporting standards e.g. CSRD/ISSB - desirable but not essential.

  • Greenhouse Gas reporting experience, including knowledge of GHG Protocol - desirable but not essential.

  • Ability to interpret technical standards relating to sustainability, energy, and environmental issues, including international standards.

  • Strong communicator with great stakeholder relationship skills.

  • A structured cross-functional approach and is comfortable working with ambiguity.

  • Have an open mind-set for connectivity/collaboration and drives continuous improvement.

  • Energy and enthusiasm with a natural ability to turn ideas into reality.
