We are seeking a Technical Delivery Manager/Product Manager for our Risk, Clinical and Governance domain. They will support the Senior Technical Delivery Manager, taking ownership of the technical run and change activities for our application products and services, in close collaboration and partnership with our stakeholders.
How you'll help us make health happen:
The Technical Delivery Manager will:
• Provide technical leadership and oversight of delivery and support of applications and services, in alignment with the strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure products are developed and features are prioritised in line with Bupa's Technology Strategic Framework, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement, optimisation and innovation in technology services leveraging Bupa's scale and CoE's.
• Be accountable for all aspects of run and change for portfolio of technology products and services, adopting DevSecOps practises where possible to deliver resilient, secure and strategically aligned services.
• Hold accountability for information security and data protection of products and services at all stages of product lifecycle, in accordance and alignment with Bupa policies and standards, strategy and governance.
• Accountable for resilience of products and services at all stages of product lifecycle, with oversight of third parties, where appropriate (internal or external).
• Contribute to delivery of functional data model and ensure data model within products /services is evolved in accordance with broader functional data model
• Ensure there is a robust data integration strategy implemented, in alignment with Group Functions Enterprise Architecture standards and governance.
• Drive collaboration and formation of multi-disciplinary product teams, playing role of scrum master where appropriate.
• Leads all aspects of delivery from inception, analysis, design, development and testing, through delivery and maintenance, driving agility, automation and continuous improvement into these processes
• Provide technical leadership to the platform team; may line manage some resources
• Manage asset lifecycle, ensuring all components are current, driving cloud adoption and evergreen lifecycles where possible; incorporates backlog of technical improvements into overall product backlog
• Manage cross functional technology dependencies, adopting continuous improvement mindset and flow techniques to increase speed and agility in deliveries
• Ensure products remain within risk appetite for Information Security, Technology, Project/Change and Operational Resilience risk, following appropriate standards and policies
• Responsible and accountable for internal and external audit reviews for applications
• Manage products & services against KPI's, KRI's and strategic plans
• Maintain oversight of technology suppliers including optimisation of commercials, performance and decommission.
• Vendor management of third parties involved in the provision of software components to Bupa businesses. Work with third parties to understand roadmaps and understand how Bupa can leverage more from software
• Evaluate and influence the procurement of new software solutions that are of benefit to Bupa
• Manage supplier risk in accordance with policies and standards
What you'll bring:
• Senior technology professional with significant experience delivering complex product delivery.
• Experience in owning the change and run activities for technology products, including planning and backlog management, onboarding new applications, security and architecture governance, and delivery of operating models.
• Collaborative, with outstanding communication skills and a strong ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups, often translating technical language into business language.
• Experience with IT Service Owner responsibilities, such as contract renewals and attestation of applications within governance processes.
• Experience in transforming from waterfall to agile ways of working and leading cross- functional product teams
• Comfortable making technical decisions in alignment with policies standards
• Innovative mindset with experience in user-centricity and design thinking ways of working
• Ability to influence behaviour without organisational hierarchy
• Strong problem-solving skills
