Richmond Village in Aston on Trent is looking to appoint a Cook. Providing more than just retirement living, Richmond Villages offers an aspirational lifestyle to our residents and our first-class accommodation requires a first-class service. As a Cook at Richmond Aston, you'll assist our Chefs in all aspects of food preparation and ensuring all catering areas are cleaned, maintained and safe.

Shift: Part time - Weekends
What your typical day involves
Catering to residents, visitors and the public across the village which includes an 80-cover table d'hôtel Restaurant, 40 cover Bistro/Café bar, 40 cover Club House Café and 3 Care Home dining rooms.
Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations against a set menu to a consistent and high-quality standard.
Deliver front of house services to customers ensuring consistent standards.
Work within the extensive HACCP framework tailored to a Health Care Environment.
Maintain a clean and hygienic working area.
Respond to residents and customers dietary needs and personal preferences.

Who we're looking for
You understand Health and Safety and knowledge of maintaining a clean, safe and hygiene environment. An up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent) and previous experience of working in a catering department or kitchen would be advantageous. Ideally you have some knowledge of working in a care environment and stock control along with an ability to prepare simple meals. Organised and adaptable, you can work well within a team and under your own initiative.
