As a Tax Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our financial integrity and compliance. Your work will help ensure we meet our tax obligations efficiently and accurately - protecting Bupa's reputation and enabling us to continue investing in care that matters. You'll be part of a team that values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
How you'll help us make health happen
In this role, you'll:
Prepare and submit monthly VAT reports and salary tax reports on time
Manage withholding tax submissions and ensure timely payments to tax authorities
Handle all tax-related system entries in line with departmental procedures
Act as the main point of contact for external tax advisors and tax authorities
Resolve tax-related issues and support audits to avoid penalties
Monitor and implement updates to tax laws and regulations
Prepare tax inspection documentation and ensure full compliance
Review VAT on company expenses and calculate income and deferred tax
Develop and submit tax status reports and return tax reports
Support internal departments with tax-related queries and provide expert guidance
Keys skills/Qualifications required for this role
We're looking for someone who brings both expertise and a proactive mindset.
You'll need:
Confidence communicating in both English and Arabic, both written and spoken is required.
Experience with tax inspections, internal and appeal committees with focus on corporate and stamp tax.
A qualified accountant is preferred but not essential (please specify your qualification on your application)
Previous experience in tax accounting or analysis is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUPs)
Experience using tax websites and electronic invoice portals
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
