As a Credit Control Team Member, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Care Homes business by ensuring that billing and credit control processes run smoothly. You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team that helps keep things on track – making sure payments are collected on time and customer queries are handled with care.

This is more than just a numbers role – it's about making a real difference to people's lives by helping them navigate the financial side of care with confidence and clarity.

How you'll help us make health happen.

In this role, you'll:

  • Manage a dedicated portfolio of Care Home Sales Ledger accounts

  • Monitor account balances and ensure timely collection of payments

  • Investigate and resolve customer queries through account reconciliation

  • Communicate with customers and internal teams via phone, email, and letter

  • Support Care Home Administrators with billing system setup and maintenance

  • Approve refund requests in line with policy and procedures

  • Provide guidance on billing matters and undertake invoicing duties

  • Maintain accurate records and add detailed notes to the billing system

  • Work closely with regional teams and finance colleagues to manage debt positions

  • Meet individual and departmental targets

  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes and customer experience

Key Skills/Qualifications required for this role

We're looking for someone who's confident with numbers and even better with people. You'll bring:

  • Previous experience within a Credit Control environment is essential

  • Strong customer service and communication skills – written and verbal

  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

  • A collaborative mindset – you enjoy working with others to solve problems

  • A keen eye for detail and a drive for accuracy

  • Commercial awareness and a customer-first attitude

  • A willingness to learn and grow – we'll support your development every step of the way
