Working as part of our Group Financial Crime team, you'll support the implementation and continued development of our financial crime risk control framework across Bupa. This means helping the business understand and manage financial crime risk in a clear, consistent and practical way.

Reporting into the Group Head of Financial Crime, you'll work closely with colleagues across our global legal community, building strong relationships with stakeholders from all over the business. This is a role where your judgement, curiosity and confidence to challenge will help Bupa stay resilient, responsible and ready for a changing regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

As our Group Financial Crime Adviser, you'll:

  • Support the implementation, maintenance and review of Bupa's financial crime risk control framework.

  • Carry out research to help provide clear guidance on regulatory requirements and controls.

  • Help prepare timely reports on financial crime risk management activity, including governance, risk and compliance updates.

  • Work with colleagues to support a consistent approach to financial crime across Bupa.

  • Help develop and explain financial crime requirements in a clear and practical way.

  • Build strong relationships with mid and senior level stakeholders, including confidently challenging where needed.

  • Share financial crime insight on key risks and regulatory requirements in a commercial environment.

  • Work ethically and in line with Bupa's values and code.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years' quality experience in financial crime and/or a similar operational risk or compliance environment.

  • A solid understanding of financial crime risk and how it applies in a complex global organisation.

  • Experience in control testing is highly desirable, ideally in a 1st or 2nd line capacity.

  • Experience contributing to or drafting governance reports for senior committees, with an understanding of how management information supports good decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, inform and advise internal stakeholders.

  • Enthusiasm for a variety of work across multiple financial crime areas.

  • A methodical, curious and analytical approach to work.

  • Good judgement and discretion, especially when handling sensitive information.

  • The ability to think objectively and creatively when working under pressure.

  • A relevant financial crime accreditation, such as ICA, CISI or ACAMS preferred.

Knowledge of Bupa's products and marketplaces would be helpful.
