Senior Project Manager
Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months
Location: Angel Court (EC2R 7HJ)
Hybrid working: 1-2 days per week in the office
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: starting from £82,800 (pro rata), negotiable dependent on experience.

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering large-scale transformation across our Internal Products & Platforms (IP&P) function. You'll lead complex technology and business change initiatives that directly support Bupa's strategic goals, including our transition to an ‘IT as a Service' model. This is an opportunity to work on programmes that enhance how we deliver healthcare services, improving outcomes for our customers and colleagues alike.

How you'll help us make health happen
Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple large or complex projects, from initiation through to successful implementation
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure delivery against agreed outcomes
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across business and IT, acting as a trusted partner
Translate business requirements into clear operational project plans and deliverables
Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring proactive mitigation
Oversee project governance, reporting, and alignment with agreed methodologies (Agile, SDLC, ITIL)
Collaborate across teams to optimise resource utilisation and delivery efficiency
Manage third-party vendors, ensuring strong performance and cost-effectiveness
Drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance service delivery and reduce costs
Lead and support project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Proven experience delivering large-scale business and IT transformation projects
Proven experience delivering network-related projects and programmes of work
Demonstrated experience leading technical change initiatives, particularly within infrastructure and connectivity
Strong experience working within complex environments involving multiple suppliers and stakeholders
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
Strong commercial awareness, including budget and vendor management
Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies such as Agile and SDLC
Experience in IT operational readiness and frameworks such as ITIL
Experience managing and developing direct reports
Experience managing complex environments with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
Good understanding of modern network technologies, including SD-WAN and SASE
