The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for the internal business reporting and Financial MI provided to both the Clinics management teams but also for reporting up to the Bupa Global & UK Market Unit.
Leading a team of 2 Finance Analysts, the role is responsible for the timely production of management reporting for governance meetings both within the Clinics Management and as part of the wider BGUK and Health Services management. The role supports wider decision making across the Clinics management through the regular production of MI on daily performance, monthly trading and sales performance
How you'll help us make health happen
You will:
Develop the 3 year plan and ambition in line with the Bupa strategy.
Develop and refine the production of robust forecasts/plans for BHC (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPI's). Ensure all inputs to the forecast/plan are aligned, fully reviewed and challenged and that accurately reflected in the accounting systems.
Work closely with central & wider finance teams to ensure the financials (actual, forecast and plan; P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and KPIs) are correctly reported and included in the accounting systems and then appropriately reflected in all Management Reporting.
Be responsible for the management reporting, being a key figure in understanding the underlying business dynamic behind the numbers and being a go-to-person for the business lines providing visibility on their financial performance.
Ensure reporting is produced as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining a high standard of presentation and in line with required timescales.
Develop and measure Sale Incentive Plans for the Clinics Salesforce, working closely with all HOD across each segment and Sales Director, producing quarterly packs on performance vs payments.
Produce a Rolling Full Year Forecast and performance reporting (tracking costs and benefits against plan/forecast/business case) on a monthly basis.
Demonstrate key stakeholder engagement and business challenge, providing appropriate financials insight.
Under take ad hoc business partner support and project work as and when required
Key Skills & Qualifications needed for this role
Qualified Accountant is required (ACA, ACCA or CIMA - please specify on your application
Experience with FP&A is essential
Highly competent in Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of Oracle, Peoplesoft and Compucare would be desirable but not essential.
Experience in producing outputs for senior Management and Executive teams, including the ability to draw out and summarise key messages.
Strong organisation, time management and stakeholder management skills
Experience in preparing business cases, investment appraisals and modelling is desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence and ability to challenge where appropriate
Must be flexible in their approach to work as individual and team workloads, responsibilities and associated priorities can alter at short notice.
