Internal Recruitment Assessor

Hybrid working - predominantly working from home with occasional requirement to visit Bupa base location (either Kirkstall Forge - Leeds, Bupa Place - Salford or Angel Court - London)

£30,000 per annum

6 months fixed term contract

Full time 37.5 hours per week

How you'll help us make health happen

Our Talent Acquisition team play a vital role in supporting the ongoing success and growth of our Health Services business, ensuring that we attract engaged and talented individuals across our provisions business. You'll team up with other Internal Recruitment Assessors and Health Services interviewers to help create a fantastic candidate experience and establish candidates' suitability for clinical roles within Health Services.

  • With your colleagues, assess clinical candidates via a structured interview consisting of competency and scenario-based questions. These interviews will be conducted via MS Teams.
  • Using pre-defined interview questions, and scoring matrix, record accurate and detailed interview notes and upload them to Workday to demonstrate a transparent and unbiased process.
  • Assess pre-recorded video interviews uploaded by candidates to determine who will pass to the next stage in the recruitment process.
  • Ensure candidates have a fantastic experience during their journey with us.
  • Effectively answer candidate questions to accurately reflect Bupa's culture and values.
  • Maintain professionalism and objectivity at all times
  • Obtain and take onboard regular feedback and data from the business to understand which candidates are successful and use these insights to tweak assessment approach where applicable.
  • Conduct monthly levelling/benchmarking sessions with the other assessors to ensure high levels of consistency with interview scoring.
  • Proactively provide feedback to the Recruiters and the Recruitment Delivery Manager on suggested enhancements to the process or scoring criteria to ensure we are hiring a talented and diverse workforce.
  • Track and provide interview statistics as required to help inform business decisions.
  • Conduct feedback calls with unsuccessful candidates.
  • Conduct check-in calls with candidates prior to interview to ensure they are adequately prepared.
  • Support Recruiters with ad-hoc duties such as introduction calls.
  • You may be required to attend ad-hoc training, meetings or assessments onsite

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Previous recruitment interviewing experience is essential.
  • Professional or recruitment experience within Mental Health or another clinical discipline is beneficial but not essential
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to a strict schedule of interview slots each day along with the reliability to commit to these interview slots to ensure candidates have the best possible experience.
  • Ability to have constructive conversations and reach agreement to provide an objective decision on a candidate outcome.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and manage your time effectively.
  • Ability to proactively manage difficult conversations, particularly where you may need to give feedback news to an unsuccessful candidate.
  • Positive and proactive attitude and self-motivation with a ‘can-do' approach.
  • Proven resilience of working in a fast paced and challenging environment
