Job Title: Pensions Administration Consultant

Contract: Full time, 37.5 hours, Permanent role Hybrid Role with at least one day a week in Manchester Office

Location: Salford Quays

Salary: Circa £50,000

About this role We're looking for an experienced Pensions Administration professional with strong technical knowledge across Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) schemes. You'll act as a senior expert for complex cases, calculations, and system improvements, ensuring we deliver a high‑quality, compliant service to scheme members.

How you'll help us make health happen:

  • Managing complex DB/DC cases including transfers, retirements, deaths, and high‑earner arrangements.
  • Leading specialist work such as GMP equalisation, complex calculations, and quality checks.
  • Supporting development and enhancement of the DB administration system, including specifying and signing off new functionality.
  • Driving data quality, process improvement, and automation opportunities.
  • Supporting training, mentoring, and helping roll out new legislation to the team.
  • Acting as a technical escalation point for queries and complex cases.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Strong background in DB & DC pensions administration experience.
  • Experience in administration projects and technical calculations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and enhancing quality and processes.
  • Confident communicator who can coach and support others.
  • Comfortable working independently and solving technical issues.
