We're looking for a Compliance Business Partner to join our Risk and Compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a trusted advisor to our UK Insurance and Bupa Global businesses, helping ensure regulatory requirements are understood, embedded and effectively managed across our operations. This role will primarily face into our Commercial and Customer teams, helping colleagues to deliver the very best outcomes for customers.
As a Compliance Business Partner, you'll work closely with senior leaders and business teams to provide practical, commercially focused compliance advice. You'll support business growth and innovation, through effective regular business partnering, while helping ensure we continue to meet our regulatory obligations and maintain a strong customer-focused compliance culture.
This role offers the opportunity to influence decision-making, support strategic initiatives, and help shape the future of compliance across a complex and evolving healthcare and insurance environment.
How you'll help us make health happen
As a Compliance Business Partner, you will:
Partner with business functions (Commercial and Customer) to provide high-quality regulatory advice and guidance on compliance matters.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide robust advice and constructive challenge to support effective risk management and customer outcomes.
Support new ways of working, product governance, customer propositions and business initiatives by providing practical and proportionate compliance advice through a distinct distribution lens.
Identify, assess and escalate regulatory risks, issues and breaches where appropriate.
Help develop and enhance compliance frameworks, controls, policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across Risk, Compliance and other business functions to drive consistency and continuous improvement.
Help embed a strong compliance and conduct culture across regulated entities and wider business operations.
Key Skills/Qualifications needed in this role
We're looking for a Compliance Business Partner who combines strong regulatory knowledge with excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
Previous experience in a similar second-line role within Financial Services/Insurance is essential - please ensure your experience is listed on your CV
A strong understanding of FCA regulations, regulatory expectations and conduct risk management, including the Consumer Duty.
Experience providing practical compliance advice to business stakeholders.
The ability to interpret regulations and translate them into clear business guidance.
Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with experience influencing leaders and colleagues at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
The ability to balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectives and customer outcomes.
