You'll support our teams across the UK to get the goods and services they need in a simple, compliant and efficient way. By making procurement easy to navigate, you'll help colleagues focus on what matters most - delivering great care to our customers.
You'll be part of a supportive Procurement and Commercial team where your ideas are valued. We're always looking for ways to improve how we work, and you'll have the chance to use feedback and data to make a real impact on our processes and customer experience.
How you'll help us make health happen
As a Procurement Support Specialist, you'll:
Help colleagues and suppliers understand and follow our procurement processes
Offer clear guidance so people can make the right choices quickly and confidently
Check and maintain procurement data to make sure everything is accurate and compliant
Spot opportunities to improve how we work and suggest practical changes
Record and deal with any issues, making sure they're resolved and shared with the wider team
Support suppliers to meet contracts and service agreements where needed
Work closely with the Procurement team to build strong relationships across the business
Carry out general administrative tasks that keep the team running smoothly
Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping others and takes pride in getting the detail right.
You'll have:
Experience working in a fast past administrative role. This is a requirement for the role so please clearly outline your experience on your application.
Procurement experience is helpful but not essential
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain things in a clear and simple way to a range of stakeholders
A collaborative approach and confidence building relationships with different teams
Good understanding and previous use of procurement systems such as Jaggaer and Peoplesoft is an advantage
Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and data
Problem-solving skills, with the ability to find practical solutions
The ability to manage your own workload and stay organised
A proactive mindset - you'll look for ways to improve how things are done
You'll also feel comfortable challenging requests that don't follow our policies, explaining the benefits of doing things the right way.
