Shifts will be Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm – shifts will vary week to week depending on need but will primarily be to cover leave and sickness absence with additional admin assistance from time to time.

Role Overview
As Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support for the Medical Secretaries' department. You will interact with patients, consultants, staff and visitors to facilitate a coordinated pathway of care for patients.
You'll help us make health happen by:
To provide admin support to the department. To prioritise doctors' workload accordingly ensuring each practitioner's work is accurately completed on time.
To always maintain a polite and friendly manner and a high standard of confidentiality
To work as part of a team – showing flexibility of shared tasks to ensure that we provide the best quality service in a pleasant environment for both staff and patients.
To file all correspondence, test results and referral letters into the patient's notes before returning to medical records.
To receive telephone messages and relevant queries. Send/receive faxed messages and relay promptly to doctor concerned. To request patient information from outside organisations
To support in the coordination of our multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure consultant engagement and the smooth running of the meeting.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Medical Secretary experience (1 year +)
MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) Experience would be desirable
Excellent communication skills
Good time management and prioritisation skills
Organisational kills
Telephony skills
IT Literate
