Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, SW5 0TU (5 mins walk from Earls Court underground or 7 mins walk from Gloucester Road underground.)

The Health, Safety and Fire Manager is pivotal in ensuring that the Cromwell Hospital and associated diagnostic centres operate in accordance with relevant health and safety legalisation and best practice principles.
You would be responsible for implementing, monitoring and reporting against an effective safety management system which supports the delivery of business unit ambitions in accordance with Bupa's enterprise health and safety management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the business unit lead for fire compliance, ensuring Bupa's enterprise fire strategy is implemented and monitored throughout the hospital and associated diagnostic centres and delivery sites.
Lead on the completion of robust health and safety risk assessments and root cause analysis investigations ensuring compliance with the risk management and health and safety frameworks.
Collect, analyse and report incident / accident data across the business unit ensuring learning from incidents is identified, implemented and monitored.
Ensure managers and staff have the necessary training, knowledge and skills to complete health and safety risk assessments and investigations relevant to their role.
Design, implement and monitor programmes of audit and assurance against health, safety and fire management actions across the hospital and associated diagnostic centres.
Work collaboratively with the Risk Manager to ensure health, safety and wellbeing risks are managed in accordance with the enterprise and local risk management framework.
Ensure each department has clearly documented and practised evacuation plan which considers relevant departmental circumstances.
Liaise with Estates Department, Building Control, Fire Authority and, where appropriate, designated architects on plans for new builds or refurbishment of existing buildings in relation to legislative fire safety requirements.
Key Skills / Qualifications
Operational health and safety management experience within a healthcare setting.
Recognised Health and Safety Management qualification to professional diploma level (or working towards)
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing experience
Hospital/Secondary Care setting (desirable)
Previous experience within a High-Risk industry (Construction/Hospitals etc...)
Specific fire background would be advantageous
