Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Paying up to £55,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications

Role Overview:

With technologically advanced tools and a revitalised premise, we are continuously pipelining for Staff Nurses who will contribute to the continuous and future success of this unit and the high level of care they deliver.   

What you'll do:

Working with us as an Audiologist you will provide high-quality diagnostic audiological services to both adult and paediatric patients. The post holder will be responsible for the full range of audiological testing, clinical reporting, and equipment management, with an emphasis on paediatric behavioural testing and diagnostics. They will ensure all procedures are carried out to the highest professional standards in accordance with departmental protocols and national guidelines.

  • Conduct comprehensive, full ranging, diagnostic audiological assessments for
    both adults and children. Including: PTA, Tympanometry, VRA, OAE's,
    Distraction testing, Play Audiometry, Speech testing.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and auditable patient records in line with
    hospital policy.
  • Communicate findings clearly to patients, carers, and referrers.
  • Write diagnostic reports to referring clinicians.
  • Ensure regular calibration and maintenance of audiological equipment.
  • Ensure all clinical activity complies with regulatory standards BSA,
    AHCS/HCPC and internal hospital standards.
  • Contribute to the development and review of departmental clinical protocols
    and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in continuing professional development and internal training
    sessions.
  • Attend departmental meetings, audit reviews, and case discussions.
     

What you'll bring:

  • BSc Degree (Hons) in Audiology.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with RCCP or HCPC.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience within audiology.
  • Membership as an active member of an Audiology professional group
    BAA/BSA/BAPA.
  • BAA recognised / accredited and assessed clinical competency in paediatric
    audiology (CAC, StP, HTS or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of current national standards, policies, professional recommendations, and guidelines.
  • A high level of technical and operational knowledge within an Audiology service.
  • Experience working in multi- disciplinary team.
