Supporting your
development

We want to help you to better understand the role you’ve applied for, hints and tips for the day and other information you may find useful. We’re starting with a video to showcase some of the support you’ll receive in your early weeks here and to also meet some of the team.

Whether this is your first role in a contact centre, or an area you have experience in, the training you’re given is designed to give you all the confidence you need so you’re ready to deliver amazing service to our members (we call customers ‘members’ at Bupa).

with a difference.

We want to make sure you have all the information you need about working as a Member Services Adviser at Bupa, just so you’re clear it’s right for you.

Whilst no two calls are the same, we wanted to give you a flavour of the type of calls you may experience, so here is an example call to listen to. Providing great service to our members is so important, gaining the trust when they could be going through a difficult time.

Adapting
at pace.

The calls we take in our contact centre will not always run as smoothly as you’d hope, but that’s OK. You’ll always have support around you and to get the information you need and deliver service in the right way.

Sometimes it can be emotionally tough because of the nature or subject of the calls you’re taking, so we encourage everyone to take a moment when they need it. Here is an example call to understand more. 

Showing
resilience.

Every call and every customer is different, some may be challenging and this is where it’s important to show resilience, keep calm and deliver service in a professional manner. There will be times where you will need to explain certain parts of the policy in different ways so the customer understands the decisions made and the course of action that needs to be taken. Online Application

You'll be emailed a link for an online exercise that offers you a flavour of what the job entails – This doesn’t take long to do and will help you understand more about the day to day job.

We'll send you an email with a link to complete an online video interview – Feel free to complete this at any time, day or night. The sooner you complete this, the sooner we can progress you to our assesment stage.
