Eve's success story

 

Eve’s message for anyone considering an apprenticeship: "If you're being provided with the opportunity, you may as well take it," she advises. With the support available, there's nothing to lose and so much to gain. 

When Advanced Nurse Practitioner Service Team Manager – Eve, stepped into her new management role, she knew she wanted to elevate her leadership skills. That's when she decided to dive into Bupa’s Intermediary Leader apprenticeship. With her manager's encouragement and a burning desire to sharpen her leadership skills, Eve was all in. "I thought it would enhance my leadership style as I started a new management job," she shares. 

Eve was on a mission to discover new techniques that would help her and her team thrive in a positive and productive environment. Balancing work and study can be a juggling act, but Eve found her rhythm. "The way the course is planned allows you to slowly get used to the working and studying balance," she explains. By figuring out what worked best for her and blocking out time in her diary, Eve made sure she stayed on track and completed the course on time. 

Support was key to Eve's success. Her manager and course tutor were her biggest cheerleaders. "My manager was great at holding me accountable to ensure that I was completing the modules on time," she notes. Connecting with others on the course also provided a valuable support network, offering the chance to bounce ideas around and forge new connections. 

One of Eve's favourite parts of the apprenticeship was the dedicated time for self-reflection. "It’s great to be able to learn about yourself and how you work," she says. This self-awareness helped Eve adapt her leadership style to better support her team and continuously improve in both her professional and personal life.
