An apprenticeship is a skills development program you can complete while working, allowing you to ‘earn while you learn’.

As a learner, you’ll experience a mix of on-the-job training and formal off-the-job learning. You’ll have opportunities to apply your new skills in a real work environment. We offer apprenticeships at six levels, from Foundation to Advanced. They’re a great way to enhance your skills in your current role or explore a new career.

We partner with the best training providers, so you can be sure you’ll have the most up-to-date, relevant knowledge and practice. All programs are industry-recognised, and our internal support team will be with you every step of the way as you study.

A secondment is used to move a permanent Bupa employee from one position to another within the business temporarily.

We offer secondments when we need an existing employee to:

• Deliver a project or a specific piece of work.
• Provide temporary cover for a defined period (e.g., maternity cover, long-term absence).

The maximum time you can be on secondment is 12 months. Afterward, you’ll return to your contracted role unless you’ve made a different arrangement with your hiring manager.

The cycle includes quarterly conversations focused on goal review and adjustment, indicative ratings, feedback, growth, and development. Monthly one-to-one meetings occur between these discussions and are opportunities to discuss progress, feedback, any barriers, and wellbeing.
