From Health Advisor to Service Team Manager

Katie joined Bupa just 18 months ago, fresh from university with a master’s in Sport and Exercise Physiology and clear ambition—to make a real difference in people’s lives. 

She began her journey as a Health Advisor, diving in with curiosity and care. Her potential quickly stood out, and before long, she was facilitating training and supporting others with the same encouragement she’d received. Then came the pivotal question from her manager: “Where do you want to go, and how can we help you get there?” 

That question changed everything. 

Today, Katie leads a team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners, ensuring the smooth running of services and championing excellence every single day. Her mornings start at 8am with a check-in, but her impact lasts far beyond the clock. Her highlights? The weekly in-person team meeting—a burst of energy, connection, and collaboration. 

For Katie, Bupa isn’t just a workplace—it’s a launchpad. With the support of an apprenticeship program and a culture that truly invests in people, she’s building a future she’s proud of. 

Outside of work, Katie is just as driven. She’s currently training for her first marathon, loves hiking, and dreams of racing abroad.  

From Health Advisor to Pathology Operational Lead

For over 20 years, Jade has been a driving force at Bupa, blending her passion for helping others with a love for adventure. Starting her career as a Fitness Instructor after earning her degree and master’s in Sport and Exercise Science, Jade joined Bupa as a Health Advisor in Bristol. Her dedication quickly propelled her into leadership roles, and she now thrives as our Pathology Operational Lead.

In this role, Jade ensures clinics run like clockwork—overseeing quality control, managing pathology results, and keeping supplies in check. She collaborates across teams, always seeking ways to improve services and support both patients and colleagues.

Outside the clinic, Jade is just as dynamic. She’s a runner, hiker, mountain biker, skier—and now a qualified Day Skipper, adding sailing to her list of outdoor pursuits. She also finds joy in baking and travelling, always chasing new experiences.

Jade’s commitment to growth is unwavering. From leadership training to mentoring students, she’s constantly learning and giving back. Her motivation? “Helping people is in my nature,” she says.

Jade’s story is one of passion, purpose, and progress—proof that at Bupa, careers can be as adventurous as they are meaningful.
