Location: New Victoria Hospital, Kingston upon Thames, KT2 7EG
Hours: 37.5hrs (Monday - Sunday Shifts)
Circa £27,851pa + Benefits

How you'll help us make health happen
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our nursing teams to deliver outstanding patient care. Working closely with patients, nurses, and multidisciplinary colleagues, you'll help ensure patients feel comfortable, supported, and cared for throughout their hospital stay.
You'll be an important part of creating a positive patient experience while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity, safety, and wellbeing.
Support patients with personal care, mobility, nutrition, admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
Assist qualified nurses with patient assessments, observations, specimen collection, and the delivery of nursing care.
Monitor and report changes in patient condition, escalating concerns promptly to the nursing team.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised ward environment, ensuring equipment is fit for use and infection control standards are met.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, patients, visitors, and multidisciplinary teams to provide an excellent patient experience.
Follow hospital policies, health & safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and mandatory training obligations.
What we're looking for
GCSEs or equivalent education.
Previous experience working within a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, IT skills, and numeracy skills are desirable.
