  • Shape and deliver the technology strategy for Bupa's UK Secondary Care services in collaboration with IT leadership.

  • Maintain and evolve architecture roadmaps for critical systems, ensuring seamless integration across care platforms.

  • Support technical due diligence and integration of new services, with a focus on cloud and API-first solutions.

  • Guide and strengthen solution architecture capabilities within the Secondary Care IT team.

  • Ensure governance, compliance, and alignment with data, security, risk, and legal standards.

  • Contribute to high-quality, pattern-led solution design and resolve technical or regulatory challenges as needed.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Experienced Enterprise Architect with a strong track record of leading transformation initiatives and engaging CxO-level stakeholders.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and design patterns.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to operate end-to-end-from high-level vision to hands-on implementation.

  • Strong consultative and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across complex organisations.

  • Broad knowledge of modern IT software, cloud platforms, and critical infrastructure within distributed systems.

  • Proven ability to evangelise and promote the adoption of new technologies and architectural approaches.

  • Familiarity with healthcare data regulations and interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and OpenEHR.

  • Background in product-centric, agile environments with experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.
